How to Book for the Exam

You can apply for the test from an official government website. The test must be booked at least 3 days in advance and it will cost £50. There are 30 test centers spread across the UK. You can select the one that is near your vicinity.

You also need to give the following information while booking for the test

1. Email Address
2. Debit or Credit Card
3. An Accepted Form of ID

You can use any of the following documents for the ID

1. Valid Passport
2. Biometric Residence Permit or Card
3. Valid Travel Documents with Photo

All of these above-mentioned documents must be up to date. You are also required to arrive at the exam center 15-20 minutes early on the day of your exam. The identity check process takes 15 minutes, and the test itself lasts for 45 minutes. Do not leave the exam center after completing the test. You'll receive the exam result within 30 minutes. If you pass the exam, you'll be provided with a certificate.

The test cancellation is refundable. All you need to do is cancel your exams 3 days before it is held.

Test Format

This test consists of 24 MCQs. To pass the test, you need to answer at least 18 questions correctly, achieving a score of 75% or higher. This ensures that new citizens have learned about British society, history, and values.
